Equipped with 15 workstations connected to a High Performance Computing system, which provide a low-cost, low-maintenance computing solution for advanced bioinformatics and data science research.
The learning room offers superior audio, visual, and networking environments for enhancing virtual, collaborative global research with ACE researchers and students. The infrastructure utilizes virtual machines which facilitate training sessions, allowing for a flexible and scalable learning environment for students.
To support effective research and provide seamless student access, the infrastructure is equipped with increased data storage capacity 150 TB Synology array provided by NIAID, ensuring that all necessary resources are readily available.
A HPC provided by the Texas Advanced Compute Center (TACC) featuring 20 1U servers Haswell and Knights Landing processors (160 Cores), 2 Disk arrays (36 TB of Storage) connected with a high-speed 10Gbps switch.
